A Leeds man will stand trial accused of the murder of a "beautiful" mum killed at her home last year.
Jennifer Andrews, 35, died after an incident at her home in Bangor Grove, Lower Wortley on June 6, last year. West Yorkshire Police were called to the street at 11.59pm to reports of a woman being assaulted. The young mum was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but died a short time later. Rawden Ibbitson, also of Bangor Grove, was charged with her murder and possession of a Stanley knife.He appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, where a provisional trial date was put in for May 2. A pre-trial review was set for April 11.
In a statement released by West Yorkshire Police in June last year, Jenni's family said they were "absolutely broken" following her death. They said: "Jenni was such a beautiful and friendly person who was very much loved by us all, she was an excellent mother. We are absolutely heartbroken and ask that people respect our privacy at what continues to be a very difficult time for ourselves and all those who knew and loved Jenni.
