The force has been responding to reports of 'nuisance bikes and anti-social behavior'
Cops in Leeds are "making waves to keep the peace" with the 'yobs on bikes' plaguing the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
West Yorkshire Police have been out in force, responding to reports of "nuisance bikes and anti-social behaviour" along the canal in Woodlesford. The force made an example out of the perpetrators on social media, sharing a picture of one of their own police dirt bikes. West Yorkshire Police for Leeds South, posting on Sunday, July 18, wrote: "Following reports of nuisance bikes and anti-social behaviour along the canal at Woodlesford, our Leeds District Off Road Bike Team has been carrying out high-visibility patrols."We're making waves to keep the peace and ensure the canal stays a serene spot for everyone to enjoy, ensuring the only splashes at the canal are from the ducks.
"So if you spot our officers out and about, give them a wave and know they're working hard to keep our community safe and sound! Stay safe! Thanks for your support, and keep those reports coming."
