LeeSeungGi To Host New Audition Show For Idols Who Have Already Debuted
On December 12, JTBC officially announced that Lee Seung Gi would be hosting its new program “,” which will premiere in 2023. The show will be produced by the same team that created the hit singing competition “Sing Again,” which was also hosted by Lee Seung Gi for both of its seasons.
Unlike past idol audition shows, “Peak Time” will be a team competition, with teams battling for the chance to become the next “worldwide idol group.” Its contestants will consist of male idols who have already debuted, whether currently active or part of a disbanded group. Mentioning Lee Seung Gi’s longtime experience as a singer, the producers of “Peak Time” remarked, “Lee Seung Gi has not only a strong ability to empathize and witty hosting skills, but also outstanding musicality. He will be able to express the feelings of the contestants.” They went on to add, “You can safely look forward to his chemistry with the contestants.”
