Lee headed for landfall in Nova Scotia today.
Lee has been designated a post-tropical storm as of Saturday but still has hurricane-force winds. It will make landfall later today in Nova Scotia.Lee is no longer officially a hurricane but will bring hurricane winds and all the other effects to Nova Scotia today.
As of 4 a.m. CDT Saturday, the center of Post-Tropical Storm Lee was located about 220 miles south-southeast of Eastport, Maine, and was moving north at 25 mph. Lee could bring 1 to 4 inches of rain to parts of eastern New England, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.Hurricane watches continue for New Brunswick from the U.S./Canada border to Point Lepreau, including Grand Manan Island and in Nova Scotia from Digby to Ecum Secum.
The system was far away in the central Atlantic and no immediate threat to land. The forecast track keeps it north of the Leeward Islands and east of Bermuda into next week.
