DYSON Ltd. is dialing back its hairdryer-related operations in Malaysia, according to people familiar with the matter who declined to be identified discussing matters that are private, as the consumer goods company seeks to streamline its business in the region.
KUALA LUMPUR: All Variable Message System services or LED billboards under the supervision of Kuala Lumpur City Hall will display current weather conditions and flash flood warnings starting Friday , Malay language daily Sinar Harian reports.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Dr Zaliha Mustafa said this proactive early warning measure is aimed at ensuring that members of the public, especially Kuala Lumpur residents, are prepared and can take early precautions in case of flash floods."This initiative will first be implemented using the LED billboard at the DBKL Tower,” she said during the question-and-answer session in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday .
She was responding to a question from Teresa Kok , who had asked about DBKL's measures to prevent and address flash floods in Kuala Lumpur.
