BEIRUT: Lebanon's government agreed on a"full closure" of the country for four days, the presidency said as the Cabinet met on Tuesday to try to ward off a second wave of COVID-19 infections.READ: Lebanon set to extend coronavirus shutdown until May 24
Lebanon started lifting restrictions last week as part of a longer-term plan, letting restaurants, hair salons, construction sites and other businesses open so far at lower capacity.But the government may shut the country down again to ward off any resurgence, with Lebanon's higher defence council set to convene on Tuesday.
The ministry asked the Lebanese to remain patient and stick to safety guidelines to prevent a second wave.
