CORONAVIRUS "will be globally-persistent" until at least the summer of 2021 without a vaccine, according to a leaked Pentagon memo.

“All indications suggest we will be operating in a globally-persistent COVID-19 environment in the months ahead," reads the memo, written for Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and obtained by“This will likely continue until there is wide-scale immunity, through immunization, and some immunity post-recovery from the virus.

According to the memo, infections will occur “in clusters” along with the seasonal flu season and testing won't give “100 [percent] assurance of the absence” of the deadly bug.
