LBC presenter Nick Ferrari has said that a senior Israel Defence Forces member pulled out of an interview “seconds” before it was due to start.
World Central Kitchen have confirmed reports that seven of their aid workers have been killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, amongst them a British national.Speaking on his morning show, Ferrari said he had been due to speak with Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, a spokesperson for the IDF. In a post on his own social media account, Lerner said the killing of the aid workers was a"tragedy".
Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, died in the explosion, which destroyed the Iranian consulate building in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
