Five separately filed lawsuits claim negligence on the part of Sugata Das, a cardiologist who crashed during one of his daily flights from Yuma to San Diego
Three of the lawsuits also name as a defendant Samarth Aviation, an Arizona limited liability company that listed Das as its agent and apparently owned the Cessna C340. Krueger’s siblings are also suing the pilot’s employer, the Yuma Regional Medical Center, claiming the flight was within the doctor’s scope of employment because he commuted daily by flying between San Diego and Yuma.
“We haven’t had the opportunity yet to look at the plane ourselves or see the final report,” Loranger said. This Oct. 12, 2021, file photo shows Steve Krueger’s damaged UPS truck after it was struck by a crashing plane in Santee.
