A group of individuals involved in the film 'It Ends With Us' have filed a lawsuit against the New York Times, alleging that the newspaper unfairly portrayed Blake Lively and misrepresented events surrounding the movie's promotion.
A lawsuit has been filed against the New York Times following an article about actress Blake Lively 's complaints regarding the publicity surrounding the movie ' It Ends With Us '. The lawsuit alleges that public relations professionals deliberately aimed to harm Lively's reputation after she accused them of repeated boundary violations, including sexual and inappropriate comments.
Director and lead actor Justin Baldoni, alongside nine other plaintiffs including producers and publicists, are taking legal action. The lawsuit claims the New York Times relied on selectively chosen and altered communications lacking proper context and deliberately misleading the public. It further states that the outlet primarily focused on Lively's unverified narrative, copying it extensively while ignoring evidence contradicting her claims. Attorney Bryan Freedman, representing the plaintiffs, asserts that the New York Times caved to the demands of powerful Hollywood figures, compromising journalistic ethics by using manipulated texts and omitting conflicting information. Freedman vowed to continue exposing the individuals who abused their power to damage his clients' lives
