The fire was reported around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday near East 56th Street and I-465.
INDIANAPOLIS — A Lawrence firefighter was injured and three families were displaced by a fire that was ruled as arson at a northeast Indianapolis apartment complex early Tuesday.5800 block of Cedarstone CourtThe unit where the fire stated had five people living there, but all made it out uninjured, Indianapolis Fire Department Battalion Chief Rita Reith told 13News.
According to IFD, there were three adults and 12 children displaced by the fire, and one of those occupants was helped out by firefighters. The Lawrence firefighter's injuries were minor, and no one else was injured. IFD said occupants of the building woke up and saw a car on fire outside, and that it was the birthday of one of the women who was caught in the apartment fire.Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS .Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire near East 56th Street and I-465 early Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
