CLEVELAND , Ohio - One of the longest-serving Ohio state lawmakers, Kirk Schuring , passed away.The Stark County state senator sponsored dozens of laws on health issues, police dog safety and sports betting.He served as interim speaker of the house and was currently the president pro-tempore, the second most power position in Ohio’s senate.

Kirk loved Canton & was deeply committed to representing Stark County. People across the state turned to him to lead and pass legislation.
