Hours before Rep. Matt Gaetz announced he was self-quarantining because of exposure to a patient with coronavirus he was spotted getting on Air Force One with President Donald Trump.
"You can't be a politician and not shake hands," Trump said at the town hall in Scranton, Pa., on Thursday."The bottom line is, I shake anybody's hand now. I'm proud of it."
Collins said Monday he was notified by CPAC that the group discovered a photo of him with the patient who tested positive for the virus. Trump met with Collins on Friday on the tarmac at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, where photographers captured the two shaking hands before Trump went on to a meeting at the CDC.
