are calling for Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend and convicted co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein, to testify before Congress about the disgraced financier's alleged connections to powerful figures. Maxwell, who is currently appealing a 20-year prison sentence for her role in Epstein's sex trafficking operations, is seen by some as a key figure who could shed light on the case. "She knows everything. Uh, she is the Rosetta Stone. She knows everything. She arranged every single trip with everybody. She knows everything, and if she were just given use immunity, she could be compelled to testify," Alan Dershowitz, Epstein's former attorney, told Fox News. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., urged the House Oversight Committee to question Maxwell after her appeals process is complete. Burchett said he sent a letter to the committee's chairman to subpoena Maxwell. "If we have to do it in a closed-door session, I’d say let's do it, but I believe we have to get her in front of the members and ask her what she knows," Burchett told CNN Monday., following criticism from influential Republican influencers and negative headlines over transparency issues in the Epstein case. President Donald Trump dismissed the so-called Epstein files as a "hoax," Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., told Fox News Digital she supported the release of the Epstein files before walking away from a question about why former President Joe Biden didn't do anything to release them during his time in office. Democrats argue that the controversy surrounding the Epstein files is a result of the Trump administration's actions. "The president blaming Democrats for this disaster...is like that CEO that got caught on camera blaming Coldplay, OK, like this is his making," Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., told CNN's Jake Tapper over the weekend. "If you tell the base of people, who support you, of deep state treasonous crimes, election interference, blackmail, and rich powerful elite evil cabals, then you must take down every enemy of The People," Greene wrote. "If not. The base will turn and there’s no going back. Dangling bits of red meat no longer satisfies. They want the whole steak dinner and will accept nothing else."
