Kinzinger added that Fanone said he had a “really incredibly bad and disrespectful” interaction with the chief of staff to an unnamed House member.the interaction occurred in an elevator, claiming Clyde “completely froze” and “stared” at him and that, when he asked if Clyde would shake his hand, Clyde responded, “I don’t know who you are.”
Fanone added that after he introduced himself, Clyde stayed silent and “turned away” from him, pulling out his cellphone and “thumbing through the apps.”Key Background
