Despite women making up more than 60 per cent of many graduate cohorts at law firms, women remain underrepresented in senior roles. Only two major firms – Ashurst and Gilbert + Tobin – have a partnership gender split of at least 40:40:20.major law firms had an average base salary pay gap of 14.8 per centCollege of Law chief executive Neville Carter said it was “confounding and troubling” that the pay differential remained consistently high.
