Lauren Boebert's opponent for her seat in the Congress has said Social Security and Medicare will suffer if the Republican wins another term in Colorado.Trisha Calvarese, the Democratic nominee for Colorado District 4, took to X, formerly Twitter, to briefly denounce her opponent's voting record on Social Security and Medicare, two key battlegrounds in this year's presidential election.'Lauren Boebert can't be trusted to protect our seniors,' she wrote on X on August 3.
'Calvarese, who positions herself as 'The Hometown Candidate to Beat Lauren Boebert,' came out victorious in the Colorado Democratic Primary, beating retired Marine Ike McCorkle by 2,033 votes. She will face off against Boebert in November.Her campaign has brought in more than $750,000 since her success on June 25.'We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support we've received from across Colorado.
