The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke ground on Saturday for a new temple in Lindon — one of 28 existing or planned LDS temples in Utah.
A new Latter-day Saint temple will be built near 800 North and Main Street in Lindon., Utah area president, offered the dedicatory prayer at Saturday’s groundbreaking ceremony.
“May the construction of thy holy house here in Lindon continue to bless this community with peace, love and unity,” Pearson said, according to a. “...Bless those who labor here, that they may feel the eternal significance of what they are building and be blessed and protected as they labor in its construction.”
Latter-day Saints view a temple as a House of the Lord, a place where the faithful take part in their highest religious rites, including eternal marriage.
