A Latino advocacy group has filed a complaint with the Attorney General, alleging discriminatory practices in the search for CU's next president.
– As the search for the University of Colorado’s next president narrows, criticism about the process is growing.
“We are not going to let up,” Carrera said. “We are going to stay on track and make sure that the people of Colorado understand what’s at stake.” “We are looking at it and saying ‘What is it that you need to be president of CU?’ If you have all the credentials, what is it that actually eliminated this particular candidate?” Carrera said.
“It’s not that you want to create an adversarial situation,” Carrera said. “It’s that you want to make sure you are doing everything possible to represent our community.”
