Latest in ex-Chiefs star's match-fixing case revealed
Former Kaizer Chiefs star Kearyn Baccus was due for a second appearance in court over match-fixing on Monday.
Ex-Amakhosi midfielder Kearyn Baccus made the headlines for all the wrong reasons last month, when he was implicated in an illegal bet-fixing scheme in Australia. Baccus and his former Macarthur FC teammates Ulises Davila and Clayton Lewis were all implicated in the matter, with Davila, who was captain of the aforementioned team but had his contract officially terminated earlier on Monday, believed be the alleged local ringleader in the scheme said to be run by a Colombian mastermind.
It is said Baccus and his fellow accomplice Lewis were paid up to Aus $10 000 by Davila for their suspected involvement.
