The Miami Marlins beat the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday and Wednesday, giving them their first series victory of the 2024 regular season.
The Marlins have defended their home turf this week, though, flipping the script on the visiting Rockies.that featured Colorado blowing a five-run lead in the ninth inning. In Game 2 on Wednesday, the Marlins came out on top again with a 4-1 win.
Those marked Miami's first back-to-back wins all season, and it also clinched them their first series victory of the year. The Rockies are now the only team in the league that hasn't won back-to-back games or a series in 2024.for longest such streak to start a season. It also tied the franchise record for longest streak at any point in a season, perthat Colorado ended the month of April with a 26.8% strikeout percentage – their worst in franchise history.
