Lands' End hires American Eagle executive as next CEO

Lands' End Inc. LE, +0.57% on Monday named Andrew McLean as CEO-designate to succeed Jerome Griffith, who will retire as CEO on Jan. 27. McLean, who is president, international of American Eagle Outfitters Inc. AEO, +5.33%, will join Lands' End on Nov. 1.

Griffith will assume the position of executive vice chair of Lands' End following his retirement as CEO. He will be an employee of the company. In a separate role, Griffith will also remain a director of the Lands' End board of directors. Shares of Lands' End are down 46.5% in 2022, compared to a 14.7% drop by the S&P 500 SPX, +1.12%.
