on Tuesday after the U.S. Attorney ’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said she defrauded two non-profit veterans organizations in Lancaster of nearly $1.5 million.
In 2019, Hiepler offered to help a different veterans organization, American Veterans Post 19, also known as AMVETS Post 19, with its troubled financial situation.Hiepler assumed control of the AMVETS Post 19’s financials and abused her position to acquire the organization’s four-acre commercial property through “theft, deceit and misrepresentation.”
Hiepler paid $500,000 for the 4-acre commercial property and sold it for $1.95 million through her real estate investment company, resulting in a profit of $1.425 million.
