While Lancashire is not covered by the Met Office yellow warning, downpours are expected to hit the county during Thursday
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of the North West while two "danger to life" warnings are also in place across southern areas of England and Wales. The storm is bringing torrential rain and destructive winds in excess of 100mph and flooding is expected in 54 areas.
Preston will stay largely dry during the morning and early afternoon before heavy rain sweeps in from 5pm until 11pm. In Blackburn, residents can expect downpours at 12pm and then again from 7pm to 11pm.
