NHS Lanarkshire have plead with hospital visitors to not visit if they are ill.

NHS Lanarkshire is asking hospital visitors to please avoid visiting relatives and friends in hospital if they are feeling unwell.

Ruth Thompson, NHS Lanarkshire Acute Director of Nursing, said: “If you’re feeling unwell, it's important to take care of yourself and not to spread germs.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.

“We understand you want to support your loved ones but by staying home when you're not well, you're helping to protect your loved one, other patients and our staff.
