Kahit may iniindang problema sa kalusugan, nanguna pa rin sa 2024 Pharmacists Licensure Examination ang isang 25-anyos na lalaki na mula sa Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.
Sa ulat ni Efren Yunting Mamac ng GMA Regional TV, sinabing si Rhedz-Wei Hadjula, na mula sa Universidad de Zamboanga, ang number 1 sa 1,185 passers ng naturang pagsusulit matapos makakuha ng 92.85 percent na rating.
Bunso sa limang magkakapatid si Hadjula, at mayroon siyang genetic blood disorder na tinatawag na "thalassemia."“My kuya din po may thalassemia to the extent na 'di siya nakapag-aral. Yung case ko naman medyo light, somehow there is this struggle din kasi we have to awake at night sa study ganyan pero tapos yung hemoglobin ko mababa,” paliwanag niya.
“If hindi po nakaka-produce ng enough na hemoglobin ‘yung katawan natin, siyempre po ang tendency, magiging anemic tayo. May mga kailangan lang talaga na frequent ang transfusion,” paliwanag ni Zamboanga City Medical Center Medical Specialist IV, Dr. Shadrina Sarapuddin, “There is this struggle also pero thankfully my sister, and everyone in my family keep track of my health,” ani Hadjula.
