LATEST: Lakewood police announced Friday that a fourth person is not involved in a fatal shooting Thursday.
Two males are dead and another wounded in a Lakewood shooting Thursday and police found multiple firearms at the scene.
Just before noon, officers were called to a residence in the 5200 block of West 14th Avenue on a report of shots fired, according to a Lakewood Police Department news release. Officers found three males suffering from gunshot wounds. One male was dead at the scene, another died at a hospital, and a third male was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Investigators on Thursday said a fourth male was shot and he fled the scene before police arrived. On Friday police announced: “It no longer appears that a 4th person was involved in this shooting. All of the involved parties have been accounted for.”UPDATE: Two victims have been pronounced dead. Another has been hospitalized. A suspect is not in custody but we do not believe there is any danger to the community.
