RTA earlier this month began a W. 117th Street bridge rehabilitation project that is causing headaches for motorists traversing the busy thoroughfare.
“W.117th street traffic patterns should not be impacted during the winter months when precipitation is present,” Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority Public Information Officer/Spokesperson Robert Fleig said.
The estimated $7,563,549 project, which currently finds W. 117th Street lane closures between Madison Avenue and Berea Road, has a December 2024 completion date. “We’ve done our due diligence to put up signage on the Lakewood side letting residents know this project was coming,” Lakewood Public Works Director Chris Gordon said.
