A great lookback by the former Laker.
Unfortunately for the 2020 Los Angeles Lakers, they never got to celebrate their championship with a parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic that was going on. While they didn’t have a chance to celebrate their accomplishments correctly, they are still champions, and it’s always nice to remember that fact.title over the Miami Heat, and a member of the 2020 team took to social media to celebrate.
Howard was the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft out of high school and all he ever wanted was to win a title. He spent most of his career in search of one but finally was able to get over the hump with the Lakers. He was a big part of the 2020 Lakers and deserves all his flowers for that season. Howard gave LA a big force inside, who could body up against bigger centers. He also was a strong lob threat for the team, and he played solid defense as well.
His reflection back on the 2020 season is something that many players have done since everything happened. They all wish they could have had a chance to really celebrate the title properly, and even possibly to run things back. LA was dominant in 2020, even before the NBA shut down for a few months. But unfortunately, we won’t ever see a parade for the title, and we will just have to live with that fact.
