The reigning NBA MVP cited his son as a major influence on Embiid's decision and it makes sense why he dedicated the MVP trophy in his honor as well. Whatever the case may be, Embiid's addition to the stars and stripes makes them the team to beat in Paris even before other superstars confirm their interest.
Embiid will likely join James and possibly Anthony Davis among many other American superstars with a gold medal on their collective minds.
