James split a pair of free throws with 39 seconds left, putting the Lakers up by only three instead of four. Davis split a pair of free throws 12 seconds later, with the Lakers giving up a layup to Wagner that trimmed the Magic’s deficit to two with 20 seconds left.

Austin Reaves also missed a pair of free throws at the 3:40 mark in the fourth, meaning the Lakers missed six of eight free throws in the final four minutes.Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht had 17 points on 7-for-14 shooting .
