The four-time NBA champion says he has no response to the Grizzlies’ Brooks calling him old, dismissing any notion that words rather than actions will determine the outcome of Game 3.
He shook his head when asked if trash talk had ever impacted a playoff series.This went on for a few minutes Friday before James had enough and cut off his session with reporters in no uncertain terms. His answers were short and clipped and it was clear he was getting annoyed at having to respond to a player who is not in his class in any way, shape or form.
James said the Lakers must do a better job of getting the ball to Anthony Davis in better positions than they did in Game 2, when the Grizzlies’ increased overall energyduring the Lakers’ 128-112 victory in Game 1 on Sunday “Yeah, for sure,” James said of aiding Davis. “We all have to do a better job of helping each other out. Especially with A.D., we got to do a better job of getting him the ball in his most comfortable positions and with more time on the shot clock, where he’s not playing against it .”
