Davis scored 23 points and added nine rebounds in 32 minutes, but exited after getting hit in the head by Kevon Looney.

Anthony Davis has arguably been the best player in the Warriors-Lakers playoff series.

That’s why his exit from Wednesday’s Game 5 could be such a massive moment for the rest of this week. Davis exited midway through the fourth quarter of the Warriors’ 121-106 win over the Lakers after getting hit in the head by Kevon Looney Green and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game with a head injury.TNT sideline reporter Chris Haynes reported that Davis was taken out of the arena on a wheelchair with a towel covering his head. Davis appeared visibly woozy on the bench after being substituted out and walked gingerly from the bench toward the locker room at the next media timeout.

After the game, Lakers coach Darvin Ham told media that Davis “seems to be doing really good already” after the coach checked on him in the locker room. Game 6 will take place on Friday at 7 p.m. in Los Angeles. If the Warriors win to force a Game 7, it will be Sunday at 12:30 p.m. back up in San Francisco.
