Lake Buchanan in Central Texas rose 3 feet over the weekend to 68% full, while Lake Travis remains at 40% full, as the region faces a potentially hot and dry summer with over 2.5 million people depending on the lakes for water supply.
CBS Austin asked the LCRA if the rise of water levels in Lake Buchanan will help Lake Travis heading into the summer season. “People don’t have the discretionary funds to spend as they have in the past," said Hoover's Valley Cafe Manager Karen Wells. "It has been compounded by the lake levels... It affects you personally and it at affects the traffic and the people coming here.”
