LIBERAL Party President and Albay First District Rep. Edcel Lagman said that former senator Leila De Lima deserves complete acquittal and eventual liberty.

Lagman issued a brief statement after a Muntinlupa court acquitted the former Justice secretary on one of two drug trafficking charges.'Justice is rendered, albeit late. After having been acquitted in two of the three contrived drug cases against her,' Rep.

Lagman said.'Sen. Leila de Lima must be freed on bail in the last case still pending trial,' he added.De Lima, who has been detained at Camp Crame since February 2017, was charged with illegal drug trading inside the New Bilibid Prison while serving as Justice secretary.
