Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will starring in the new Joker sequel, Folie à Deux, which is due to be released in 2024.
‘I’m sorry for the person I’ll become when this comes out,’ one tweeted.
‘I absolutely did not expect that gaga herself would confirm this I’m crying my year was made,’ another said. ‘This is going to be such an interesting role for Gaga to play, she’s LITERALLY serving versatility in her movie roles aswell, I’m sure she’s going to deliver [sic],’ a follower praised.A Twitter user posted: ‘OH MY GOD it’s happening.’The original Joker was released in October 2019 and became an instant success, grossing over $1billion at the box office worldwide.
The dark film, directed by Todd Phillips, earned 11 Oscar nominations and went home with two – for best original score and best actor. Phoenix also won best actor accolades at the Baftas, the Critic’s Choice Awards, Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild awards.
