El jueves, su padre Rupert Murdoch anunció que dejará el timón de sus dos empresas periodísticas: News Corp. y Fox Corp. Lachlan será presidente de News Corp. y a la vez conservará el puesto de CEO y presidente del directorio de Fox Corp., la empresa matriz de Fox News Channel.
Lachlan Murdoch lo sabe bien porque lo ha vivido. Nacido en Londres, creció en Nueva York y fue a la Universidad de Princeton, donde sus estudios no fueron de negocios sino de filosofía. Su tesis de grado, titulada “A Study of Freedom and Morality in Kant’s Practical Philosophy” aborda esos temas enjundiosos junto con pasajes de las escrituras hindúes.
