Writing in his regular column for the Daily Record, the SNP leader at Westminster questions why Keir Starmer cannot offer the British public a positive vision for the future.
Every Wednesday I sit and watch as Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir dust down their gardening gloves and trade blows at PMQs. Heavyweights, they aren’t.Last week we had jolly jibes about toys from yesteryear , followed by talk of flip flops.
The Tories want to smash the criminal gangs. Labour want to crush the criminal gangs. Or maybe it’s the other way round. At this point, I honestly can’t remember. The problem is that Sir Keir is going along for that ride too, and he seems to be enjoying it just a little too much. Surely with a stonking poll lead in England Sir Keir could shake off this Blairite belt and be just a little bit more positive, maybe even inspiring.
