A 48-year-old construction worker was strangled to death by a drinking buddy during a heated argument on Monday night, April 10, in Sitio New Little Baguio, Barangay Magsaysay, this town. ManilaBulletin

Witness Alvin Quitoriano told police that he and the victim, Alex Resgonio, and suspects Dudz Delloso, Caren Mustasa, Jomer Astoveza, and Noel Gulod, were having a drinking spree at Delloso’s house when an argument erupted between the victim and Delloso.

Quitoriano said he went outside to urinate and heard the sound of a shattered glass in the house. He returned to the house and saw Mustasa holding a knife while Delloso was strangling the victim. The witness said that he grabbed the knife from Mustasa and threw the bladed weapon outside the house. Quitoriano sought help from authorities and when he returned together with the Army and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4-A, they saw the body of the victim on the floor and the suspects gone.

Recovered from the crime scene were an electric wire, microphone cable, and charger cable believed to have been used in the killing.
