Wildfires raging across Los Angeles County have forced the postponement of a Lakers game and led to the evacuation of celebrities including JJ Redick and Kawhi Leonard.

Thursday night's game between the Los Angeles Laker s and the Charlotte Hornets at Crypto.com Arena has been postponed due to ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles County. Hundreds of thousands of residents have been evacuated, including Laker s head coach JJ Redick, who shared that his family evacuated their home in the Palisades Fire. 'Our family, my wife's family, my wife's twin sister, they've evacuated.

I know a lot of people are freaking out right now, including my family,' he said before a game earlier this week, ESPN reported. 'I know a lot of people are scared. So, I just want to acknowledge that. Thoughts and prayers for sure, and hope everybody stays safe.' The Lakers expressed their support on social media, writing, 'We're with you, LA.' Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers played their scheduled game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night, despite the wildfires. Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard, who made his highly anticipated return last week, stepped away from the team to be with his family, who were also evacuated. Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue confirmed that Leonard and his family are safe, but the status of their home remains unknown. No new date has been announced for the Lakers-Hornets game. The Clippers next play on Saturday night against Charlotte at the Intuit Dome. The NFL is also monitoring the situation and is prepared to move this weekend's game between the LA Rams and the Minnesota Vikings to Glendale, Arizona
