Clippers coach Doc Rivers said Americans should do better and demand better treatment following the police shooting of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday.
“We’re the ones getting shot. We’re the ones that are denied to live in certain communities. We’ve been hung, shot. All you do is keep hearing about fear. It’s amazing to me why we keep loving this country and this country does not love us back.
On Tuesday, National Football League side Detroit Lions canceled a practice session as players held up signs reading: “We Won’t be Silent” and “The World Can’t Go On” in a show of solidarity with protesters in Kenosha.
