A KZN taxi driver, who was transporting looters during the 2021 July civil unrest, has been sentenced to five years imprisonment. | WitnessKZN
According to Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, KwaZulu-Natal National Prosecuting Authority Spokesperson, Nthenga used his vehicle to transport people to the Mobeni business industrial area, onn South Coast Road, so they could loot.
“His vehicle was loaded with tinned fish, rice, as well as items from the surrounding warehouses that were looted,” said Ramkisson-Kara.
