Kylie Jenner publicly complained about some new changes to Instagram — and now Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri is responding.
head of Instagram Adam Mosseri hopped on his official Instagram account to seemingly respond to the backlash about a day after Kylie and her sisters shared their thoughts. Instagram users have previously voiced their frustrations with new versions of the app, which prioritize video-based content like Reels and content from people they don't follow.
“If you’re seeing a new, full-screen version of a feed or you’re hearing about it, know that this is a test,” Adam explained. “It’s a test to a few percentage of people out there, and the idea is that a more full-screen experience, not only for video but for photos, might be a bit more fun and engaging experience. But I also want to be clear, it’s not yet good.”
Adam added that photos will always be part of the app, but said that more users are consuming video. “I have to be honest, I do believe more and more of Instagram is going to become video over time,” he said. “We see this even if we change nothing.”has no plans to go back to the "glory days" of all-photo sharing, Kyliehave major clout when it comes to her her opinion of social media apps.
