Kyle Young will be unavailable for Ohio State's Big Ten Tournament opener on Thursday, and Zed Key will be a game-time decision.
Ohio State could be without two of its top big men when it opens Big Ten Tournament play on Thursday.
Kyle Young, who has missed the past two games and most of a third while in concussion protocol, will be out for Thursday's 9 p.m. tip against the winner of Wednesday's Minnesota-Penn State matchup in Indianapolis, according to Chris Holtmann. Young suffered two concussions in the final month of the 2020-21 season.
Zed Key, who missed two of the past three games with an ankle injury, will be a game-time decision for the Buckeyes. Key played seven minutes in Ohio State's regular season finale against Michigan, but was clearly still hobbled by the injury and left the game to go to the locker room at one point. Holtmann said after the Michigan game that he should have considered keeping Key sidelined for the contest.
Justice Sueing will be unavailable for the Buckeyes once again, but Meechie Johnson, who turned his ankle against Michigan, will be available for the Big Ten Tournament opener.
