Danish textile designer\u00a0Kvadrat has opened the doors to its new\u00a0flagship New York showrooms during New York Design Week 2022, with California-based industrial designer Jonathan Olivares at the helm of the main area in the 8,000 sq ft space located at 475 Park Avenue and 58th Street. It is an ethos encapsulated by Olivares in a design that sets the textile sample room, corridors, stairs, meeting rooms, offices, and restrooms on a 6ft x 6ft grid in homage to’s name, the Danish word for square. Furniture developed by Olivares fills the symmetrical space, including the flexible ‘Square’ chair created with Moroso and architectural-inspired metal and wooden tables.
