PETALING JAYA: Kerajaan menangguhkan pelaksanaan cukai jualan 10% ke atas barangan bernilai rendah yang sepatutnya berkuat kuasa 1 April ini.
Cukai jualan 10% itu dijadualkan dikenakan ke atas barangan yang dibeli dalam talian dan dihantar ke Malaysia oleh vendor berdaftar dengan Kementerian Kewangan. Ia terpakai untuk barangan berharga RM500 ke bawah. Bekas timbalan menteri kewangan, Shahar Abdullah dilaporkan berkata, kerajaan dijangka mengutip RM200 juta setahun daripada pelaksanaan cukai itu.
