Hundreds of Kum & Go convenience stores across multiple states are undergoing a rebranding process following their acquisition by Maverik. The transformation is expected to be completed by summer 2025, providing a unified customer experience across Maverik's various brands.

Dozens of Kum & Go convenience stores across several states are in the process of being rebranded, according to reports. There are currently 300 Kum & Go locations throughout the Midwest and southern parts of the United States, as stated on the company's website. The company was founded in 1959 by W.A. Krause and T.S. Gentle when they opened their first full-service gas station in Hampton, Iowa.

'They had a vision to offer more than just fuel; they wanted to fuel lives with moments of joy and connection. This was the beginning of a growth story that has made Kum & Go an integral part of countless communities across multiple states,' Kum & Go's website states. In Missouri, over 50 Kum & Go locations will commence their rebranding journey in March, as reported by local FOX 2. The transformation is anticipated to be finalized by summer 2025, according to the station. Arkansas Kum & Go stores initiated their rebranding process in mid-January, as reported by local 5NEWS. More than 60 locations in Michigan and Missouri are also slated for rebranding, as indicated by CSP Daily News reports. This rebranding effort is a continuation following Kum & Go's acquisition by Utah-based company Maverik in 2023.Back in August, Maverik announced that it had 'completed 97 rebrands across Utah and Colorado, with the goal of offering its customers a unified, consistent experience across store food offerings, in-store experience, product selection, rewards programs, customer service and more.' While Kum & Go and Maverik representatives haven't yet responded to a FOX Business request for further details, local KOLR reports that customers may encounter brief store closures during the rebranding process as modifications are made both inside and outside the stores.
