Please tell us a bit about yourself and the beginnings of Kueen - How did your interest in fashion begin and how did it help shape Kueen into the brand it is today?
The dream of starting my own brand has always been a strong drive behind my career. The desire to create something beautiful and sustainable with passion led to the birth of the Kueen. Designing scarves also became a new forum for me to make patterns - a new challenge and new opportunities to do smart and beautiful design. A scarf for me is the most wearable art, and there are infinite ways to wear it, and can be used for a lifetime.
Passion is my biggest drive. Therefore, the patterns in each collection are based on something I have fallen in love with, or think is really important to share, like it was with the ‘Bloody Awesome’ collection. A collection can take its beginning in a story, a place, a person, an event, a feeling, an important issue, or just something I find particularly beautiful. And for me, a beautiful scarf can be the icing on the cake of an outfit, that little bit extra.
