Actress Kristen Bell ended 2024 by donating more than $100,000 to people who need help with paying their medical bills . Bell's donations were inspired by Instagram personality Quarantino , whose real name is Tommy Marcus, who suggested she share one health-related GoFundMe page per day to raise awareness and donations. Initially, Bell agreed to share the pages, but after seeing a story about a family struggling to reach their fundraising goal, she donated the remaining amount needed.
Bell then decided to do more and asked Quarantino how she could donate $100,000 to people facing medical expenses. Quarantino suggested that Bell donate the second half of any fundraiser once it reached half its goal. Bell's donations have already exceeded $20,000, including a donation to help a third-grader fight leukemia
