An extended look at Kraven the Hunter has been released. The movie is set to be the final superhero film of 2024, potentially serving as the final entry in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, as there are no movies confirmed to be coming from the franchise after Kraven the Hunter.

Bloody action scenes and Kraven's parkour skills are put on display, teasing the scope of the SSU movie's R-rated violence. Given how Madame Web negatively impacted the SSU earlier this year and how the Venom franchise is over, there has been a lack of interest in what Kraven the Hunter's story has to offer. According to BoxOfficePro, Kraven the Hunter is projected to earn $20-25 million domestically in its opening weekend. For comparison, Venom: The Last Dance opened domestically with $51 million, while Morbius and Madame Web debuted with $39 million and $25.8 million, respectively. Knowing about the low projections, Sony likely released the first eight minutes of Kraven the Hunter to try to challenge concerns related to it. By showing Taylor-Johnson's character in R-rated action, Kraven the Hunter could win over some people who were not going to watch it. Taylor-Johnson makes the character interesting when he is onscreen, adding an air of unpredictability to every scene. While Kraven the Hunter does not look to be a groundbreaking film, the action scenes shown in the footage are dynamic, and I want to see more. There are also some gorgeous visuals. All in all, I think Kraven the Hunter could be a crowd-pleasing action film if only it manages to find an audience.
